(#31) Do This When Life Gets Complicated: Two Hours instead of One

“When life gets complicated, lean into these practices, as they’re how you get the creativity needed to untangle the complicated.”

- Steven Kotler, The Art of Impossible

Although Kotler isn’t talking about breathing per se, it’s still a great reminder that when life gets absurdly busy, we should lean into our breath practice, not reduce or remove it.

Gandhi also comes to mind: “I have so much to accomplish today that I must meditate for two hours instead of one.” <— Amen to that 🙏

P.S. Launching this learning center has made my life crazy busy. So (although modest by Gandhi’s standards), I followed this advice and increased my morning breathing practice by 5 minutes about three weeks ago.  I must say, it’s good advice—and it works : )
